Environmental Benefits

In order to have an overview about the advantages of installing a biomass power plant we have to take into account also the environmental benefits.

In this section are presented the environmental benefits of using biomass as a feedstock in comparison with crude oil.

Crude oil

Biomass combustion has significantly lower emissions in comparison with the combustion of conventional fuels.It is commonly accepted that biomass has net zero global warming emissions, because the growing biomass absorbed an equal amount of carbon dioxide as the amount released through combustion.
